How Old Is My Kitten Teeth

The teething period starts when kittens are around two to three weeks old and continues for several months until all of the adult teeth have grown in at the age of six to seven months.
How old is my kitten teeth. Kittens are born without teeth. Three week old kittens will have ears that point upwards like a miniature cat. Between 4 and 6 months the baby canines premolars and molars are replaced by adult teeth. By the time they are six months old their baby teeth will have been replaced with their adult ones.
At around 2 weeks of age the little incisors at the front of the mouth begin to show through the gums. At around 4 weeks of age the canine teeth fangs have emerged and by 6 weeks of age the premolars have emerged. Kittens start losing their baby teeth around 9 weeks of age and from that time until their adult teeth are fully grown in at 5 to 6 months you can count on lots of chewing action. Medical issues or accidents can cause teeth to be missing or come in late.
Be aware that these guidelines are based on normal healthy kittens. The tiny teeth at the front of the mouth called the incisors will start to come through the gums. Kittens need to grow twenty six milk or baby teeth and these will begin to erupt when they are around two weeks old. If your kitten has all her adult teeth and all four molars she is likely at least 7 months old.
